I love this Sleeping baby!
I couldn't resist!
When he covers his face up with the blankets, I turn into a paranoid mother and go and check his breathing every 2 seconds and sometimes lean down to listen to his breathing. I'm such a MOM!

Happy First Halloween
Our Little Lion
We tried to put whiskers and a brown little nose on him, but after we tried a few times his face looked like we scribbled with marker on it. We decided he looked cute either way!
Roar!!
Our Little Man
Justin carving our pumpkins.
We only found small pumpkins this year, which was fine. Justin still had fun making a mess.

Diggin' in
Oh this boy loves to eat. Such a munch mouth. After much consideration I decided to give Jaxon a little taste of rice cereal ( 1 tablespoon to be exact)... He can't get enough. We literally have to stop the little guy from eating too much. Once he is done eating cereal, he wants to quickly nurse. It's like he thinks he's hurting my feelings or something.

Tubby the big brother
Our cats have taken a backseat since Jaxon has joined our family, and our crazy feline Tubby was definatly neglected while I was pregnant with Jaxon. So we weren't quite sure how he would react having this new creature living in our house, but Tubby..... hmmmm..... has proven to us that he is a Good big brother! Sometimes we wonder if he would prefer to be human rather then cat.
He guards us while Jaxon sleeps...
He gaurds him while he watches TV...
He guards him while we play and have our talks...
He goes into Jaxon's room and brings us things to help calm Jaxon down if he is crying at night.... the trail of Tubby's helpfulness.
The other night Jaxon and I fell asleep on the couch. I had left a blanket on the floor, which the cats know not to go on the blanket in fear that they will be sprayed with the fabreeze bottle. I woke up to feed Jaxon and turned on the light, I looked down at the blanket and in the middle of the night Tubby had brought to us a stuffed monkey from Jaxon's room and a bottle nipple ( still not sure where he found that ... tossed that one away).
He has to sit with Jaxon and Dad while watching football...
When he does go outside he frantically follows us to make sure we are protected....
I guess I should be grateful that he is bringing us socks, blankets and stuffed animals rather then the critters that live outside here in Texas--- YIKES!
Thanks Tubby, you are a good big brother, but sorry you still are just a CAT!
Sam on the other hand is CLUELESS and prefers to be outside, climbing trees ( where they should be, and YES he is in that tree ) and is still wondering what happened to his tail.

Channel Surfing--- stop Food Network
The other day I was flipping through channels and stopped on the Food Network. Paula Dean was making some sort of biscuits or something and I started to pay attention since maybe it would be easy enough for me to make. I watched her add the ingredients and name them one by one... "sugar, flour, salt and bakin' soda." I sat there for a second tuning everything else out that she was saying and thought to myself " wow bacon soda, I have never heard of that". I sat there very inquisitivly looking at the "bacon" soda, wondering what it looked like and immediatly wanted to run up to the grocery store and see if good ol' walmart had it. "Anything with bacon in it Justin would love" I thought to myself. Then I came to... oh Paula said baking soda. DUH, total blond moment.
ps...note to self, invent BACON SODA!

LOOK WHO'S TWO MONTHS!!!
Jaxon is two months old. I love every minute being a mom. It is the greatest thing ever. Having a little boy makes my heart melt, and I miss him when I can't be with him every second of the day. He loves his mama, since I pretty much don't put him down. I have pretty much mastered the one arm juggling. I think I can do anything with just one arm now. Very talented. Justin always teases me and says he is putting him in his crib now and turning off the lights... I frown probably more so then Jaxon would and hurry and swaddel him close to me even more.
He has his time with Justin when he gets home from work and Jaxon is starting to make little sounds like he wants to talk back so bad. Justin and I tease eachother saying that Jaxon is going to be a talker when he starts really doing it, and he is going to be the kid who has the questions and asks why, why, why all the time.
That's ok-- I am looking forward to it.
GAME DAY. Watching the Dallas Cowboys with Dad. I think he likes Football, whenever it is on( which is all the time on the weekends) he sits and actually watches the T.V. hmmm maybe we have a future football player here!
Spending time with his Dad! He pushes himself up from Justin and uses his legs like he wants to go somewhere. I get sad when I see it because that means he's growing up.
Jaxon loves songs when he is falling asleep, especially when I sing to him twinkle twinkle little star, I am a child of God, and Do as I'm doing. He will instantly fall asleep when he hears these little songs. He sleeps really good at night. In my arms! AHHH. He sleeps for about 5 hours and then wants to eat. I don't think he opens his eyes during the night though, he eats and then goes right back to sleep. We normally sleep in until 10 or so. ( this won't last long, I know) Justin wakes up in the morning and often times asks how the night went. He sleeps right there next to us and doesn't even now what's going on.
Jaxon with his cousins. Gatlin ( the oldest cousin ) And Layton
He his such a handsome young boy... very stylish we might add. Every morning we decide on what to wear and then take a picture and send to Justin for "Hello Good Morning we are awake" text!
We watch Rachael Ray in the morning and the Price is Right. This is a picture of him rooting on one of the contestants. ( He really does like Rachael Ray )We go for walks in the afternoon. That is if it's not too hot or humid. He loves his stroller being outside. Not to sure if he likes this hat or not, but it reminds me of Great Grandpa Calvert and the hats he wears! I couldn't resist.
He likes to relax with mom and just hang out. He was quite full in this picture. He loves to EAT!!!
We love our baby boy. He is such a charmer. Everyday is something new and exciting. Now that Justin and I decided that I don't have to go back to work, I am looking forward to all the firsts that I can share with him. Experiences that I will never
forget.
Sorry for the fuzzy pictures. Still trying to learn how this new camera works!
