Emily moves in...

OK, I have lived in Texas for almost 10 months and I have been living in bachelor pad mode. Of course I have moved "some" of my touches in and always decorate for holidays, thanks to my mom's teachings. But, I actually can say that I am moving in ALL of my precious things. Officially. Justin used to live with his brother Brad, and Brad kept his belongings here for them to remain safe and actually have a home. Well, now its my turn.We are doing the switcharoo and moving his things out and my things in. My beautiful red couch is coming back, my best dumpster find (my white brass bed) is coming in and all my endless boxes of plates and flowery motifs are returning. Bachelor pad no more.... this will become a HOME! I am so excited for Justin to see all MY stuff. It's Christmas in July! Plus I can start decorating, which is always fun to do. I become more like my mom everyday! Thanks MOM.

Justin's John Deere Bathroom ( which he adds he loves... it's feminine, but masculine. He called it "tran-gender".)

As soon as I get more organized, I will post more pics to show you our beautiful home in CANTON, Texas.

Will you marry me?

My first Fourth of July here in Texas is one that I will always remember. We had a great day, from start to finish. I was so excited that morning, it was a holiday and I got to decorate. I hung flags around the house, I strung fourth of July lights around the front door and went all out on the red white and blue. We decided to wake up fairly early and go to the Canton parade. We sat on the curb in front of the courthouse and watched the police cars and firetrucks, floats and beauty queens and a few antique cars.It was quite hot that morning so we ended up staying in the house the rest of the day and watched the classic Alfred Hitchcock movies. We celebrated with an all American dinner with Hot dogs and homemade potato salad. As the night was getting cooler, Justin took me to the First Monday trade day's fairground to watch the fireworks. We sat on his tailgate and watched the people get settled, which is sometimes the best part. There are some interesting people that live out here on the east part of Texas. Some weird couple came and parked next to us with this music blaring--- polka music of all kind. There were a few families that had there RV's (yes, we live by an RV park) decked out with lights and had their own fireworks show going on. The illegal ones of course. At 9:15 the show started and the polka music turned into Americana music and made the fireworks show a little more patriotic. I " oohed and awwed" and made a big deal of the pretty fireworks, even if no one else did. The show ended, and Justin wanted to stay back for a awhile and wait for the crowd to die down before we hit our 2 minute drive home. We sat there listening to the RV's firecrackers and just watched the sky. Justin held my hand and asked me what I was planning on doing for the next 50 years? I was kind of dumbfounded and didn't know how to answer that question. I of course replied, with I don't know what I am going to do tomorrow, how do I know what I am going to do in the next 50 years". Way to kill the mood, I know. Justin stood up and gave me a hug and told me he loved me. He then pulled out a box from behind me and opened it up. At that moment, it all becomes a little foggy.I of course started crying as soon as I heard him ask me to marry him. I instantly covered my face. I never felt so happy before in my life. All the noises around us, weren't there anymore. I came to, and finally said yes. I could hardly wait to see the most beautiful ring in the world in the light on my finger and tell everyone I could possibly tell. It is a fourth of July that I will always remember. It was truly a magical firework show.

A Happy NEW Family

A picture from Gennie's wedding. Our first official family picture. It was awesome to be together for the weekend.

justin and claira

My niece Claira and Justin at Gennie and Sergio's wedding in Oakland California. Claira loved Justin and he loved her too. Justin and I were in charge of watching the kids ( 5 little ones) while Gennie and Sergio were getting married. It was fun watching them run back and forth a few times around. Justin looks like a pro...

only just the beginning...

I wanted to start this blog, because new and exciting things have been starting in my life, and since I am have been email challenged for some time now, I decided to take the plung and start blogging. Thank you to everyone who is proud of me. One set back, and I know I am behind quite a bit, I don't have a digital camera. ( Allison I know--- where have I been). I will some how, try to post new pics, because in reality it's one of the reasons why I look at blogs. To see the pictures and feel like I am right there with you. There will be a lot of trial and error I know, but it's something that I will look forward too.
